[Positive]
We stayed here for 4 nights during our last trip to Bangkok. Even though this hotel is centrally located I found that I was not disturbed by any noise.
Location is great. The sky train station is just 5 minutes walking distance..
There is supermarket just opposite the hotel. You can get taxi so easily from the hotel or the main road.
We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, which was quite large, fitting in two big single beds and an extra bed with plenty of space. The beds were quite high and very comfortable, and of course covered in cushions!
I have to add that the breakfast in the hotel is amazing, with a huge variety of Asian and international breakfast foods.
The pool is in a nice area of the hotel (the 6th floor), but its quite noisy as the hotel is in prime position in Sukhumvit. The pool is always freezing though...even with the humidity of Bangkok.
There are excellent bars and restaurants close by. There is even a restaurant over the road where you can have Thai cooking lessons. We ate at this restaurant and the food was very good and inexpensive.
The lobby bar has wi-fi access. All you need to do is buy a beverage to be given the password and you can connect your laptop for up to 4 hours.
Right across the street is a great little supermarket, which is open 24 hours. We used it a lot for drinks and snacks. It also has a small 'short-order diner' for want of a better expression. We had some very good - and cheap food there.
[Negative]
The hotel is 25 years old. The foyer has had a refurb, as have the deluxe rooms, but the 'superior' rooms are in dire need.
